The Company
One of Europe’s leading food manufacturers with production sites throughout the UK. From this site they employ 850 staff, and produce chilled and frozen foods for a number of supermarkets and high street stores. Following on from a review of the businesses engineering capabilities a number of openings have arisen within the maintenance department.
The Role
Performing your duties as a maintenance engineer for this blue chip company you will be maintaining and repairing a broad array of food production machinery. Machinery and equipment you will be working on will include mixers, ovens, check weighers, conveyors, packaging lines and ancillary equipment. You will be required to carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, and planned maintenance, throughout your shift.
The Candidate
Candidates for this position must be multi-skilled engineers (electro-mechanical) with previous experience in maintenance engineering, or service engineering on food production machinery. Experience within the FMCG sector is desired but strong candidates from any background will be considered.
The Shift and Benefits
The shift pattern for this role operates on a rotating three week cycle as follows:
Week 1 – Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm
Week 2 – Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm and 6am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday
Week 3 – Off work from Monday to Sunday
The basic salary for this position is £32,200. Overtime on Monday to Saturday is paid at time and a half and all overtime on a Sunday is paid at double time. Candidates for this position can realistically earn over £50k. On top of this fantastic salary you qualify for 33 days paid holiday per annum and a stakeholder pension.
